ALAN HANDS
Managing Director

Alan has worked in the M&A insurance industry since 2014 prior to which he was in various banking and fund-raising roles in Ireland. Prior to joining LIVA, Alan was Head of Placement at Marsh JLT in the UK. He works on M&A deals across Europe – particularly in the UK & Ireland and for North American investors. Alan has particular experience in Renewable Energy and Real Estate, TMT, Financial Services, Healthcare and Retail sectors.

Clemens Kueppers
Managing Director

Clemens has worked in the M&A insurance industry since 2013 when he joined from the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright in London where he was a corporate lawyer. Prior to joining LIVA, Clemens was one of the first M&A insurance brokers in Germany at Marsh JLT and was also an executive director of the Willis Towers Watson M&A team. He works on M&A transactions across Europe focusing on Germany, UK and Iberia. Clemens is a native German speaker.

Associate – Business Development & Operations

Dayana Cuintaco joined the Business Development function of LIVA as a project manager in 2021 and is based in London. She previously worked in the Mergers and Acquisitions team at Lockton LLP assisting the sales and marketing teams. She is a fluent Spanish and English speaker.

Jochen Koerner Managing Director Liva Partners

Jochen Körner
Director

Jochen is a director and board member of LIVA. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ecclesia Holding GmbH and oversees the specialty division, which owns a minority stake in LIVA. Prior to that, Jochen worked 20 years with Marsh, where he held various senior leadership positions in Germany, France and as Europe's sales leader.

Johannes Jacob
Head of Germany / Managing Director

Johannes is a German M&A lawyer who joined LIVA in 2022 from a German M&A boutique law firm where he was a partner. Prior to that, Johannes worked and lived in South America where he had been appointed as managing director by a leading German project developer in the field of renewable energy. Johannes has particular experience in cross-border M&A transactions, focusing on renewable energy, real estate, venture capital and biotech. Johannes speaks fluent German, English, and Spanish.

Dominik Gorski
Head of CEE

Dominik is a Polish real estate lawyer with over 12 years’ experience in the market. Dominik joined LIVA in 2023 from Deloitte where he was partner in the real estate department. Having previously worked for international law firms including Clifford Chance, Dentons and Linklaters as well as investment funds such as MGPA and Atrium European Real Estate, Dominik is well versed in real estate transactions, M&A and cross-border deals ranging from logistics, to residential for rent, offices and retail. Dominik speaks fluent English and Polish.

Tommaso Borelli
Associate Director

Tommaso is a senior team member of LIVA and based in London. He has extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals and investors across Europe, particularly Italy, Spain and the UK. Prior to joining LIVA, Tommaso was a Corporate lawyer at Healys LLP, where he was an Associate in the Corporate team. Tommaso has advised clients on cross-border transactions, due diligence, corporate restructuring and the sale and acquisition of privately owned businesses and companies particularly in the IT, Education and Retail sectors.

TOM HOBART
Managing Director

Tom has worked in the M&A insurance industry since 2014 when he joined from the law firm Norton Rose Fulbright in London where he was a corporate lawyer. He works on M&A transactions across Europe, focusing on the UK, Benelux and the CEE and specializing on assisting inbound North American investors into Europe.

AINSLEY CHRISHAN
Head of Tax

Ainsley joined LIVA as Head of Tax in 2023 and has over 20 years' experience in tax across numerous asset classes, transaction types and jurisdictions. Ainsley trained and worked as tax lawyer at Linklaters for 9 years, before moving to a front office structuring role at Morgan Stanley, where he was an Executive Director. Prior to joining LIVA, Ainsley has been advising and structuring in the hedge fund, asset management and ESG spaces.

ROSS AINGER
Head of Compliance

Ross has worked as an independent consultant since January 2020, advising public, private and FCA Authorised and Regulated firms on a variety of different mandates. He was previously an executive director at Arlington Group Asset Management Limited, an investment management, corporate finance, and financial advisory business. Prior to Arlington he worked at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers; Deutsche Bank and Reuters.
